More Followers, More Fans

As I sit here wanting to make more Weighted Love items I am trying to figure out how to get more followers, more fans, more business. I am not sure what to do. I think that I really need to find more time in the day to be able to find blogs to connect to. 

I am hoping over this summer when since I do have Friday's off I might be able to find some blogs to connect to, find more individuals that could benefit from my product, find anyone out there that might be able to help me. I have to be patient and just keep swimming (that is what Dorry says on Finding Nemo).

This will take off.

LOGO and new products

I have a LOGO... so excited. Soon I will have fabric tags that can go on all of my blankets, vest and neck wraps. Super excited.

I am a bit impatient the fabric labels have not arrived and I really want them or should say need them.

I have been a busy little sewer this weekend I made 2 weighted blankets, 1 neck wrap (will explain), and 40 Eco-Friendly Reusable Bags (will also explain this).  One of the blankets is for a fundraiser at the school I work at. We are doing a silent auction with amazing pieces of art work that the children have created, having a basket raffle, selling ice cream donated by Handle's (in Cuyahoga Falls), Starbucks Coffee, jumpy house, carnival games, and tons of fun. The other blanket and neck wrap is for a lucky little lady in Florida- I made her a 2 lb neck wrap to help her while she is in the car. It is made out of fleece and has 100% cotton inside so that she will not feel the beads as easily. This is going to be one of my new items.

My other new items is that I am making weighted blankets with removable weights. Yes, you will be able to add or take away weight and wash the blanket without washing the weights.  Stay tuned... I do not have any pictures of the newest blanket but will soon,

Now on to what started me sewing in the first place. I make Eco-Bags- Reusable Bags. We have eliminated plastic bags at our house. I will be posting pictures of these soon if you are interested they do not cost much and they can hold just about anything. Everyone in my house uses them in their lunch, the kids use them to carry snacks around and I also carry them in my purse. They are wonderful

New Adventrure

I have created weighted blankets and vests for individuals with a diagnosed with but not limited to Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, ADHD, ADD, PDD-NOS, Sensory Integration or Processing Disorder, or is hyperactive.
Loved ones who are easily distracted, hyperactive and lacking in concentration respond positively to the additional weight a weighted blanket or vest can provide. Many therapists working with individuals with special needs are recommending the use of weighted products

In addition, many individuals use weighted blankets because they just have trouble sleeping and have found the blankets to be an extremely helpful, natural drug free sleep aid. Each and every blanket is made with a fleece material. Grow With You Vests: For weight I use sand that are sewn into small bags that are removable from the vest. All vests are made from a Velcro material. They are all dyed with Rit Liquid Dye. ***All items are machine washable. Slow and Steady Wins the Race

What a positive week this week has been and it is only Tuesday. I have had three orders, YES I said 3 orders. I am having a hard time containing the excitement. I know that this adventure will take off someday I am just a little impatient. I love instant gratification and that has not happened. As day turn into weeks I start to think was this a bad idea? Is there really a need out there? Then boom an order comes in and I say yes, this is a good idea and yes there is a need. I have to just take one step at a time and remember baby steps baby steps. Thank you to all of you out there that has been spreading the word and sharing my adventure. Please continue to do so.

Tomorrow I will be posting pictures of 2 of the blankets that I have made this week. One is for the sports fan and the other is lizards. I would have to say the Lizard on is my favorite blanket that I have made thus far.
